Why Launch a Blog

It's pretty out here. It's also all hills

We're building trails in Barnesville, New Brunswick. We've been hard at work in the woods, clearing brush, digging holes, and packing berms and we wanted a place to share our progress. Not because we think it's glamorous or viral-worthy, but because there are probably like-minded people who are interested. We want to share the growth of the trail network and other facilities so we can grow the community of outdoor recreation and hopefully find others who want to do the same. This journey is about more than just the physical labour; it's about creating a lively outdoor community. We want to celebrate the spirit of building, riding, running, and exploring wild places – especially here in the Maritimes.

We made the heat-map. It's time to make more lines.

This blog aims to connect with fellow enthusiasts and offer a transparent look into what we're accomplishing. You can expect updates, photos, ideas and maybe a few hard lessons learned along the way. There’s a lot of creativity in trail building, and we want to lean into that: the terrain, the lines, the tools, the fuel, and the fun of figuring it out as we go.

Not new Products

cool story, bro. Unblockable ads are the future.

While many outdoor platforms are saturated with advertisements about the latest gear, we're taking a different route. Instead, I'll share my experiences repairing and restoring bikes and outdoor equipment, offering an alternative to ad-driven content. There is something wonderful about the bond created with an item after you’ve repaired it. Everything from overpriced bike gloves to under-priced excavators will need repairs and servicing during the development of the park. Repairing and servicing our equipment ensures functionality, extends lifespan, and creates a connection between us and the tools building the park. Each repair becomes a personal investment in the future of the trails.

Articles from supporters

Furthermore, we will feature articles from our supporters, occasionally sharing content crafted by local businesses and community members. These posts will be transparent and any advertisements will be for local businesses or products available locally. We believe in fostering engagement and aim to create a space free of intrusive ads. Instead, we're bringing together stories that highlight our community's passion and commitment to building trails—because at the end of the day, it's all about getting shovels in the ground and making our dream a reality!

Cotter is still working on his trail training. At least there is no one to herd out here (yet)
